Events in Taormina

A stay at Hotel Villa Schuler is made all the more enjoyable by attending a cultural event in Taormina and the surrounding area.

An evening at the picturesque Teatro Antico in Taormina is an unforgettable experience that should not be missed; in 2026, it will once again offer a wide variety of fascinating performances, ranging from classical music and opera to ballet, pop and rock concerts, and theatrical productions. The season at the Teatro Antico usually begins in mid-June with the Taormina Film Fest, continuing with the renowned Taobuk International Literary Festival and running until at least September.

Taormina also boasts a conference centre offering indoor events and more exclusive venues such as the charming Teatro Nazarena, which, through the Italian Opera Taormina programme, hosts elegant evenings dedicated to opera and classical music.

A number of major events are lined up for 2026 at the Teatro Antico, featuring both international and Italian artists such as the Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, the pop-opera trio Il Volo, the Catania-based singer-songwriter Delia and, at the end of July, Claudio Baglioni, one of the most important and beloved figures in Italian pop music.

Taormina Arte intends to return to large-scale theatrical productions. These recent meetings with director Roberta Torre are part of our vision for the future. We want to create a group of actors, artists, and writers. We want to see if it’s possible to build a team dedicated to theatrical projects that will restore the festival’s artistic identity. Three days of workshops with young actors, professionals, and anyone who wants to listen and talk about theater, explore the themes proposed by the director, and embark on a journey of community-building and creative planning.
