21:30 Palazzo dei Congrassi - Taormina
Gilda Buttà in concert. The Sicilian-born pianist of many film compositions by Ennio Morricone, performs the wonderful "Cologne Concert" by Keith Jarret. After her studies of piano at "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, from which she graduated at the age of 16 years with the maximum votes and praise, she won the Franz Liszt Prize in 1976, and started her concert pianist career. She has recorded several film soundtracks, among others those written by Academy Award-winning composer Ennio Morricone for Giuseppe Tornatore's film The Legend of 1900. Admission free!
