We are the 3rd generation of the Schuler family managing the Hotel Villa Schuler with love and passion.    
May we introduce you our wonderful staff, most of them with us since many years and each keen on making you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay at Hotel Villa Schuler.
 
Christine and Gerhard Schuler 

JULIA is our Management Assistant and Financial Controller. She has been very dedicated to the hotel's fortune since many years now. Being most amiable she has the accuracy and assertiveness needed for her tasks. Her mother is German, her father Sicilian. She speaks Italian, English, German and French. 

KAREN is our youngest Receptionist Secretary. Born and raised in Belgium she is very talented in languages speaking Italian, English, German, French and Dutch. Having worked as a travel guide for many years, worldwide and in Sicily, she is the perfect advisor to your tailor-made excursions and trips.

LUANA joined us in 2009. She is Receptionist Secretary with passion. Her gentle and emphatic attitude is unique. Her mother is Sicilian, her father Neapolitan. Born and grown up in Switzerland she speaks Italian, English and German and excellently combines Sicilian charm with Swiss precision. 

ROSWITHA is our Receptionist Secretary from Austria. Before she joined us she worked for a renowned tour operator. Solid and steady she is also gifted with a special Austrian sense of  humor. She speaks Italian, English and German and works at Hotel Villa Schuler since many years. 

RACHELE is our Breakfast Chef and works at Hotel Villa Schuler since 1990. Born in Germany by Sicilian parents and grown up in Belgium, she speaks Italian, German, Dutch, some English and French and is an exceptionally gifted cook. Don't miss her tasty crêpes or her refreshing "Granita", the Sicilian fruit sorbet.

NICOLE was born in Germany and moved to Sicily in 2009. At Hotel Villa Schuler since 2010, she is our breakfast service waitress. She runs the show, never loosing track nor her cheerful smile. She speaks Italian, English, German and some French.

EMANUELA is serving our breakfast à la carte since 2013. In her home town Timisoara (Romania) she graduated in Italian literature. She is living in Sicily since 2007, together with her Sicilian husband and her son. Her vivid and cheerful temper and her good Italian and English skills go splendidly with her tasks.

MOHAMED was born in Tunisia, came to Taormina when he was 18 and joined us in 2007. He is a genuine all-rounder, parks guest's cars, provides luggage assistance and bar service and is also a skillful artificer. He speaks Italian, French and Arabic. Everybody knows him in town for his helpful and emphatetic attitude.

LUIGI is our Night Porter since 2001. With his calm and diplomatic approach and his good knowledge of Italian, English and German, he is the one who takes care of all night services. He also serves your breakfast before hours in case of early departure or excursions.  

MARCO is our youngest staff member and is responsible for the bar service. He speaks Italian, English and German (which he learned from his German grandma) and is the most passionate cocktail mixer far and wide. Try one of his "Apple Passion" or ask for your personal "Surprise Cocktail"!

MARIA is our Head Housekeeper and is responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms. She works at Hotel Villa Schuler since 1992. With her patient and gentle character she puts her team into good humor even during the most busy moments.  

ROSARIA is member of our housekeeping crew and works at Hotel Villa Schuler since 2006. Born in Sicily she is blessed with a most cheerful character. While working hard she never loses her contagious smile.

MARIA joined us in 2013. She grew up in Romania and came to Sicily with her husband and two children in 2006. Pastry cook by trade she completes our chamber maid’s crew. With her steady and friendly nature she matches perfectly our team. 

MARIELLA joined our crew in 2010. She is responsible for our laundry service which is all done in the hotel. With her sober-minded and friendly character she fits perfectly into our housekeeping crew. She knows that linen dried in the Sicilian sun just smell better.

SARO is our Maintenance & IT Technician since 2006. He knows every detail inside the Hi-Tec inner life of Hotel Villa Schuler and takes care of all necessary maintenance. His rule is "80/20" believing that 80% of hotel maintenance should be preventive. He also parks client's cars and helps if computer problems should occur.

PIPPO is our Head Gardener. Born in Taormina he lived in Argentina and Denmark before returning to Sicily. He speaks Italian, English, Spanish and Danish and knows every plant by its latin name. He believes in organic gardening and says that talking to plants actually helps them grow greener.
