Piccolo Teatro dei Pupi - Via della Giudecca, Siracusa
Museum of traditional sicilian marionettes and performances of puppet plays
by the company of the Vaccaro-Mauceri family. In May there will be performances on May 15, and 17 (21.30 h), May 18 (18.30 h) and May 20 and 22 (21.30 h). Culinary feast and fair dedicated to the arancino, a tipical sicilian snack, which is a ball of rice which occurs in many different tastes, salty or sweet, spicy or mild, with sauce, butter, mushrooms or vegetables, with cicken, meat, fish or even with nutella. He was born in Philadelpia and has in his venes the sounds of John Coltrane, Kenny Barron, Percy Heath and many others.

Francesco Guaiana (guitar), Luca Lo Bianco (bass), Ruggero Rotolo (drums) The trio performes compositions by Francesco Guaiana, which include parts of improvisation and the confrontationof harmony and disharmony withour leaving the sense of a melody. Francesco Guaiana was formed as classic guitarrist in Palermo and has been finishing his studies at the Berklee College of Music at Boston, where he later on worked together with musicians like Gary Burton, Bob Moses, Paul Jeffrey and Jon Damian, Bob Stoloff, Kevin Mahogany and Donna Mc Elroy. Luca Lo Bianco is one of the most requested bassists of Italy. He already worked together with artists such as Riccardo Tesi, Fabrizio Bosso, Ettore Fioravanti, Tammorra, Stefano Battaglia, Bill Russo and Walter Kaiser. Since many years he collaborates with the singer Pippo Pollina. The drummer Ruggero Rotolo from Catania already worked with Giovanni Mazzarino, Fabrizio Puglisi, Francesco Cusa, Giuseppe Mirabella, Dino Rubino, Claudio Cusmano and Rita Botto.
