Chers hôtes,

les propos à lire ici, sont tous des extraits de notre livre d'hôtes. Vu la longue histoire de notre hôtel, qui va de retour jusqu'à l'année 1905, nous avons biensûr des propos plus anciens. Les livres d'hôtes les plus anciens que nous avons, datent de l'année 1954. Les autres se sont malheureusement perdus au cours des deux guerres mondiales.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche in diesem liebevoll gestalteten Hotel mit tollem Personal verlebt. Bei schönem Sonnenschein, dieser traumhaften Umgebung und dem "Verwöhnprogramm" fällt es unwahrscheinlich schwer, ins kalte Deutschland zurückzukehren. Wir werden alles sehr vermissen aber ganz besonders das tolle Frühstück. Auch bleibt uns das Naturschauspiel, der Ausbruch des Ätna, ein unvergessliches Ereignis. Wir bedanken uns bei allen Mitarbeitern und der Hotelleitung für diesen wunderschönen Urlaub! Gern kommen wir zurück.

Liebes Villa Schuler Team,
wir werden unsere Flitterwochen hier nie vergessen. Am ersten Tag ist ein junger Vogel in unserem Zimmer notgelandet. Jeden Morgen gab es das beste Frühstück der Welt auf der wunderschönen Terrasse. Zurück in Deutschland werden wir versuchen diese leckeren Pfannkuchen nachzumachen.
Vielen Dank an alle hier, für die Anteilnahme und das große Mitgefühl nach dem schrecklichen Unfall am Bahnhof.
Besonderes großen Dank an Herrn Schuler für die Übersetzungen und Hilfe bei der Polizei und im Krankenhaus!

I have been in Sicily for 3 weeks and I have walked each day in the steps of Greek, Roman, Norman, Spanish etc. history - spanning thousand of years. I feel like a pilgrim and the high point has been this final week in Villa Schuler. I found it by chance, I read the Schuler family story. I have met two generations of Schulers and I conclude that Villa Schuler & the Schuler family are very special with an extraordinary story. Taormina is beautiful and Villa Schuler is very special. From the first moment I came, I was greeted by Karen & the staff in a friendly way that made me fell at home! Verdi´s Aida and Nabucco in the Teatro Greco were part of the week as was Etna at sunset. Breakfast on the terrace very often continued for hours each morning and Andrea Schuler & all the rest were so attentive to my needs.

I was here for a weekend 10 years ago, and always talked about this beautiful hotel. Now I was here again with my sister. It is still the most beautiful hotel, the fantastic view, the wonderful terrace and garden, the beautiful house with a lot of very nice details, and then of course all the staff who is always very nice and friendly. 12 Tage in diesem wunderbaren Hotel, von dem man sich immer wünschte, es gäbe es, aber nie dachte, es sei wirklich da.

A marvelous well run Villa hotel with a responsive staff in a gorgeous setting on a cliff side terrace overlooking the Ionian seacoast fronting a large pleasant Garden. The morning breakfast is substantial and varied initiating a good day ahead presided over by the special sunlight of the Mediterranean.
The facilities are meticulously and lovingly maintained with pride of tradition by the Schuler family. The Villa is nearby the main thoroughfare of shops and restaurants and close by the Greek Ampitheater and other historical sites.
Gerhard Schuler, propritor, is ever present and cordially available to guests to advise and guide their stay in Taormina with many helpful suggestions.
Our small University Medical Group (18) had a wonderful productive meeting using the ample breakfast room adjacent the seaview terrace for lectures during late afternoons following a full day of touring (Siracusa, Agrigento, Aetna) It was a week we will not soon forget.

Morgens auf der Frühstücksterrasse:
Ein italienisches Paar mittleren Alters geht unten auf der Straße vorbei. Ich höre sie sagen: "Vedi - la colazione sulla terrazza". Antwortet er: "Si, si, la Villa Schuler è il fine del mondo!"
Mir ist nicht ganz klar geworden, wie das dieser Italiener gemeint hat.
Auf jeden Fall war es für uns eine sehr schöne Woche "am Ende der Welt".

We've stayed in Villa Schuler each time we've been to Sicily (3 times now) and haven't considered going elsewhere.
If you're expecting 5*, then this isn't the place, but it certainly is more than its given 3* rating. As a couple, we normally go for 4-5* star hotels but this beats many of these we've stayed in over the years.
Rooms are basic (but decor is quite ornate which fits the town) - some have been small, whilst others huge! Staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace is beautiful - perfect place to waken up after a night on the town! The gardens are absolutely stunning, very well maintained and the views of the sea and Mount Etna from the rooms and terrace are priceless.
Location is great as well, a lovely walk through the garden leads you to the main street, filled with shops and many fantastic restaurants. It's a short walk (10 mins stroll) to the cable car which takes you to the bottom, by the bay of Naxos, where you'll find the beaches....water is a wee bit cold (can't do much about that though), but beaches are spotless. If you're there over the weekend, especially in the summer months, try to get to the beaches no later than 11am, as it gets a bit busy with locals....we usually hire a car (just to get from the airport, no need when you get to Taormina) and it can sometimes be a bit tricky in getting a car parking space.
We may not get there this year.....summer just won't be the same.

We want to thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality during our visit to Sicily. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and your wonderful town of Taormina, and it was very refreshing to be greeted so kindly each time we walked in the door.
You arranged a driver to take us to Mount Etna and a winery among other places, and we were very pleased with the service. Drivers were also arranged for airport pick up and drop off which were great. The driver that took us to the airport was especially nice and informative.
The front desk staff was most helpful, and the breakfast servers were delightful. And, the breakfast was always a great treat to start our day.
We will definitely recommend Hotel Villa Schuler to anyone planning on visiting the area. If they were planning on going to Italy in general, we would encourage them to visit Taormina and your establishment. The location of your hotel is perfect for walking anywhere in your beautiful city.
We have wonderful memories of our trip to Italy, and Taormina certainlywas a highlight. We hope to return someday, hopefully with our husbands!

We would like to tell you that our experience with your hotel was a wonderful one.
We used the internet to decide upon your hotel based on location and services described. Our room (No. 29) was perfect, clean and provided wonderful views of everything.
Breakfast on the terrace was a delight on our first day with bright sun,clear views, good food and the wonderful smells of orange blossoms. A wonderful way to start a holiday.
Your location was perfect with easy access to everything. The recommendations you gave us for dining, Tiramis'u and a Zamarra provided excellent and memorable meals for us. All your staff were cheerful and helpful. And the arrangements they made for our pick up at Catania Airport worked well as was our driver to Messina
on the 25th. Your hotel is one we would like to return to and would definitely recommend to others.

We have just come from a two-week stay at the Villa Hotel Schuler in Taormina. It was our fourth stay there in twenty-five years, and best of them all, because the hotel has improved its looks and its services noticeably while we have been going there. The owner-manager, Gerardo Schuler, grandson of the builder of the hotel, is diligent and highly attentive to the wishes of his customers, and always greets us in person when we go there.
The garden in back is a botanical treat, with a variety of plants clearly labeled by species, and the terrace in front is a perfect setting for the sumptuous breakfasts offered each morning.
The staff are courteous and friendly, and it is obvious from the smiles on their faces that all the guests enjoy their stay in the hotel. It is centrally located below the Corso Umberto, yet private enough to provide a calm atmosphere. We had a corner room on the third floor with a balcony looking south to Mt. Etna, and another balcony looking east to the Ionian Sea. It was a dream come true.
There is no better place to stay in Taormina, the jewel of Sicily and one of the great travel destinations in Europe.

We stayed at your wonderful Villa Schuler in 2003. We enjoyed so many things about your hotel; the spaciousness of the rooms, the beautiful views, perfect location, and excellent, fresh breakfast.
When we hear about others planning a trip to Sicily, we always recommend the Villa Schuler in Taormina.
We especially enjoyed your orthopaedic mattresses. We had the best sleep ever and haven't slept as good since our visit.
Therefore, we would appreciate any information you can provide us regarding the mattress brand name and model, including where you purchased the mattresses if you can recall.
We experience back problems from time to time, and your mattresses made a tremendous difference.
We will be visiting Sicily again in the near future, and will definitely plan to stay at Villa Schuler as first choice.
