The bay of Isola Bella, a natural reserve managed by the WWF World Wildlife Found. The Grotta Azzurra (blue grotta), the bays of Mazzarò and Spisone, the cliffs and rocks of Capotaormina with various creeks and a phantastic play of lights, the bay of Naxos with unrivalled views over the whole coastline and of Mount Etna. Nino is an old friend of the Villa Schuler, he speaks good english and it's fun to have a chat with him. He knows Sicily well. A respectful nature lover and former renowned cook, Nino has travelled a lot and has now decided to go back to his beloved sea. He is also an experienced divemaster and runs a diving center located at the bay of Isola Bella. With his motor boat Nino will take you to the most scenic areas of Taormina's coastline, otherwise unreachable.
Dive in a safe enviroment according to your individual level of experience. Dive inside the "Grotta Azzurra" and come face to face with thousands of colorful shrimps and scorpion-fishes. See colonies of nobilis fins, astroides, gorgonias and lots of octopuses, cerianthus and eunicella, conger ells, moraies, lobsters, groupers and wonderful nudibranchia. Or touch a bit of history diving around the in the the Roman Columns of Cape Taormina made famous by the movie "The Deep Blue".
