JUNE 2012
The Taormina Filmfest 2012, 58th edition of one of the famous filmfestivals in the Mediterranean, with the fantastic Teatro Antico being one of its main venues, will turn the attention of cinema lovers to Taormina for 7 days in the middle of June. World premieres of big cinema productions, a fine selection of Mediterranean films, workshops will be held, famous actors, directors and producers will come to Taormina in these days. The exact dates coming soon.

JULY 2012 and AUGUST 2012
The Taormina Arte Festival of Music, Dance and Opera schedules a number of attractive events taking place in July and August at the great location of the Greek Theatre of Taormina. No date is confirmed until now, but a preview press conference already published some productions to look forward to:
Giacomo Puccinis Opera La Bohème will enchant the spectators as well as Gioacchino Rossinis The Barber of Seville. The exciting news is, that none less than Woody Allen will be the director of this opera buffa. There will also be dance highlights such as the performance of the American Ballet Theatre, an evening with the New York City Ballet, a guest performance of the Martha Graham Dance Company as well as the one with the Jose Limón Dance Company. Music Highlights will be the evenings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Charles Dutoit conducting and with the Orchestre de Paris, Christoph von Donanyi conducting.
As every summer in Taormina, additionally there will be a rich series of internationally relevant pop concerts at the Antique Theatre, until today one of them already scheduled in September.
